theater
Theater humanizes the experiences of people who are voiceless and carries a people’s history.
Experience
We believe that the purpose of theater is to accurately depict the experience of another reality.
CREATING WORLDS
For us, what distinguishes theater from other forms of storytelling is that, when creating a theatrical piece, we work to create a world that we then become a part of.
Becoming
By doing this, by creating worlds from our perspective, we create places and spaces where we can exist in the way that we imagine ourselves.
The War at Home
This is a story of how America lost World War II. A story of black soldiers, Americans, who fought for freedoms abroad that they would never experience on American soil.

Free
Free, a stage play set in North Carolina from 1798 to 1884, focuses on the lives of two historic figures and prolific creators: George Moses Horton and Thomas Day.

The Pecan Grove
Film
Film allows us to travel across the African Diaspora to share stories across geography and history while presenting the variety within each voice. More
